"I just can't!" He looked around franticly, trying to spot anything that might give him an idea. Unsuccsesful, he stood up strait and shook her hand. "I'M SORRY, BUT I MUST BE GOING!" He said, a little too loud and a little too quickly. Then he ran away.

Is startled by the fact that he just got up and left. "Oh...well...ok..." Seeing no point in hanging around Ali gets up and leaves the beach also.
